Got in on Luke's group buy 2 years ago (way too good of a deal to pass up) and got one of the last sets he had...problem was I recieved 2 front silver and 2 gold rear wheels. I didn't care because I was going to paint them black anyways. Well, I purchased the paint, tape and exacto knife and after taping two wheels came to the relization that as good as I am at arts and crafts, it would be a bigger project then I was willing to handle.
I let them sit for 2 years (more important issues with the Z took my $)and last month I took the wheels to Wheel Refinishers in Burton, Michigan. I had them do their magic of stripping the old finish and powdercoating the wheels black while leaving the polished areas polished. I thought they would turn out good, but wow, they turned out great!Gave Luke a call when they were done for a set of these...
and then had them mounted and balanced...
finally, mounted onto the Z, what a difference...
